CALLING ALL NATURE LOVERS AND BUDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS! New photography competition launches to showcase the natural wonders of Wellingborough
Stanton Cross has launched an exciting new photography competition celebrating the beauty of Wellingborough’s natural landscapes and wildlife.
The competition invites everyone from across the local area to get out into nature and take a moment to appreciate the beautiful scenes on their doorstep. From the Ise Valley to Glamis Meadow and Wood, the possibilities for a securing a scenic snap of the surrounding area are endless.
The most impressive photo will be selected by the MP for Wellingborough and Rushden, Peter Bone and the worthy winner will receive £250, as well as potentially having their photos displayed at points of interest throughout the Stanton Cross site.
Peter Bone, MP for Wellingborough and Rushden, said: “I am very much looking forward to judging the wildlife photo competition. This is a wonderful initiative by the developers of Stanton Cross to celebrate our beautiful local landscape. I hope this competition will encourage everyone to go out and enjoy the fantastic countryside throughout the Wellingborough constituency.”
Lee Barrett, Divisional Operations Director for Vistry Group and a representative of Stanton Cross Developments LLP, promoters of the Stanton Cross project, said: “As the days get longer and brighter, it’s a beautiful time of year to get out and appreciate the natural beauty of Wellingborough. From animals coming out of hibernation to the first blossoms in the town’s green spaces, we are anticipating so many spectacular shots and look forward to seeing where everyone has been exploring.
“Providing open spaces and welcoming areas of parkland is vital to our vision for Stanton Cross and our parks are designed to create a diverse and naturalistic landscape that provides shelter for small animals, food for birds and flowers for insects. As the weather gets warmer, we look forward to seeing the parks enjoyed by residents and wildlife alike.”
Each entrant is permitted to submit a maximum of five photos. These should be emailed to sam.davison@mccann.com by the closing date of Tuesday 31st May 2022 with ‘Stanton Cross Photo Contest’ in the subject. In your email you should include your full name and a title for your photograph and where it was taken.
Stanton Cross is a £1 billion residential-led development to the east of Wellingborough which will eventually include 3,650 new homes, alongside new leisure and retail amenities and commercial space – including offices, industrial space and a trade park.

The competition is open to all ages. Under 16s must ask an adult’s permission. Please ask permission of anyone who appears in your photo.
SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS: File Type should be: jpg, no larger than 3MB and landscape.
IMPORTANT: Before uploading your submission please check that file size and file type complies with the specifications; otherwise your entry could be rejected.
Terms and Conditions
- The competition is open to all UK residents, except employees of Stanton Cross, their immediate family or anyone directly connected with this competition.
- Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant. All submitters warrant that they own the photos submitted and they have exclusive copyright.
- Entries submitted posthumously will not be eligible.
- The closing date for receipt of entries is midnight on Tuesday 31st May 2022.
- To enter the competition, email entries to: sam.davison@mccann.com and include ‘Stanton Cross Photo Contest’ in the subject header, and also your name and contact details in the email.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate, incomplete or illegible entries.
- Entrants may enter a maximum of five photos in total and may only enter once.
- Entry into the competition is conditional upon the entrant having obtained all appropriate consents and a breach of this condition will result in the particular entrant being disqualified from the competition.
- By entering into the competition, the entrant automatically grants Stanton Cross with an unrestricted, non-exclusive, irrevocable and perpetual licence to use any photograph submitted to the competition for any purpose in which Stanton Cross deem appropriate for their own business purposes. Photographers will receive credit with each use.
- This competition will be judged by Wellingborough MP, Peter Bone, in an independent and fair manner. The judges' decision is final, and no individual correspondence shall be entered into. Judges are unable to comment on individual entries.
- The organisers reserve the right to change the panel of judges without notice and not to award prizes if, in the opinion of the judges, such action is justified.
- Entering the competition implies acceptance of all the above rules. Failure to comply with the entry requirements will result in disqualification. Stanton Cross reserve the right to withdraw this competition as a result of unforeseen circumstances arising.
- There is one prize of a £250 for 1st place.
- Prize winner(s) will be notified by Friday 10th June 2022. We will notify the winners by email and telephone. If the winners cannot be contacted within one week Stanton Cross reserve the right to choose an alternative winner.
- Winners agree to take part in non-paid publicity following their photography being chosen (including photography if required), relating to the competition.
- The entrant’s personal data shall only be used for the proper administration of the competition unless the entrant has expressly opted in to receiving future marketing communications from Stanton Cross via the entry form.
